High Wind Warning Issued For The Sierra Nevada

A ‘High Wind Warning’ is in effect for the Sierra Nevada through 1pm Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, winds of 25 to 40 mph should be expected with gusts over 60 mph in wind prone canyons and over ridges of the Sierra Nevada.

Ebbetts Pass (Hwy 4) is closed near the Mt. Reba turnoff. Tioga Pass (Highway 120) is closed at Crane Flat. Sonora Pass (Highway 108) is closed at Kennedy Meadows.

If you are going into the mountains, you are reminded that the wind chills will be very cold.
