Businesses Affected By Big Meadow Fire May Be Eligible For Loans

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County businesses that lost revenue due to the Big Meadow Fire may be eligible for loans through the California Emergency Management Agency.

Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services Director Kathleen Rustrum told the County Supervisors Tuesday that at least five county businesses need to submit an economic injury worksheet, in order for the county to become eligible for S.B.A. loans through CAL EMA.

Fourth District Supervisor John Gray stated, "It is real, and there has been a tremendous loss of business on the Hwy 120 corridor over the last week or so. It is amazing when you see a three day weekend and you don’t see all the businesses full, and that’s the way it has been."

The proper paperwork must be turned into the County Administrators Office. More information can be learned by calling 533-5511.
