“Dancing With The Tuolumne County Stars” Ready For Saturday Night

A local version of “Dancing with the Stars” will return to the Motherlode this Saturday night. Shana Monaco, the person behind the event, discussed the event on Friday´s Newsmaker on AM-1450 KVML.

“Last year this event sold out and was wildly successful,” Monaco said. “This year we’ve moved to a much larger venue to accomodate everyone who would like to come out and watch.”

The location will be at the Oak Pavilion at Columbia College on Saturday August 29th beginning at 6;30pm. Additionally the winning couple, as selected by the audience, will have money donated to the charity of their choice.

A few of the featured “Stars” include Rob and Lori Lyons of Let er Buck Western Wear, Shirley and Mike Serno of the Gunhouse Hotel, Ken Diaz of the Sheriff’s Dept along with his wife Renee, Dr. Christopher Mills and his wife and John Williams of Bob’s Greenly Pharmacy along with Sonora Police Officer, Jamie Boeding.

The event benefits Omega Nu and the Columbia College Foundation. The featured dances will be the Cha Cha and the Foxtrot.
