Consumers Warned About Beef Recall

Sacramento, CA — The California Department of Public Health is warning residents to avoid eating ground beef recently sold by the manufacturer Beef Packers, Inc. out of Fresno.

825,000 lbs. of product have been recalled due to 40 cases of salmonella reported across nine states. The company is voluntarily recalling products produced on various days between June 5th to June 23rd. The beef was sold under a variety of different retail brand names.

The only Mother Lode store that the beef was shipped to is the Sonora Safeway. Consumers with questions are asked to contact Beef Packers, Inc. at (877)-872-3635. Anyone with the beef product in their refrigerators or freezers should return it to where it was purchased.
