Fatigue Causes Single Vehicle Accident

San Andreas, CA — Fatigue has been listed as the sole cause of a single vehicle accident Saturday afternoon at 3:53 on Hwy 4 at Meko Drive.

According to the C.H.P. 46 year old Joseph Zelanis II of Saratoga was driving his westbound 2002 Toyota at approximately 55mph when due to his fatigue he allowed his vehicle to travel to the right and off the pavement while attempting to negotiate a natural curve to his left.

Zelanis’ vehicle struck a tree and continued to straddle the road edge striking a snow level steel post. The Toyota then struck still another tree and overturned finally landing on its wheels in a southerly direction partially blocking the westbound traffic lane..

Debris flew out of the vehicle striking a 1998 Acura driving by 61 year old Margo Mohn of Murphys. She was not injured.

Zelanis suffered minor injuries as did his two daughters, 15 year old Corinne Zelanis and 11 year old Kayla Zelanis.
