Services Set For Randy Hunsaker

Sonora, CA — Services have now been scheduled for Randy Hunsaker.

The 68 year old native Texan drowned in the Calaveras River below Hogan Dam while fishing Saturday. Hunsaker failed to return to his family that evening. Search and Rescue teams were immediately dispatched including a CHP helicopter. Sunday evening at six o’clock the Dive Team from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department recovered Hunsaker’s body a short distance downstream from where he had left his fishing gear.

Hunsaker spent the past seven years serving as the CEO of Sierra Senior Providers. He was a resident of Tuolumne County for 17 years.

Visitation at Heuton Memorial Chapel is scheduled for noon to 8pm tomorrow. A memorial service for the Navy veteran is scheduled Saturday at 1pm at Christian Heights Assembly of God Church on Joshua Way. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Mt. Shadow Cemetary.

Hunsaker is survived by his wife Helen Hunsaker of Columbia, one son, Randall Hunsaker, Jr., and two daughters, Darla Rigg and Pamela Ruiz, all of Fresno.
