Yosemite, CA — Yosemite’s swift-moving Merced River is hampering divers searching for a German woman last seen below the Vernal Falls footbridge.
31 year-old Katrin Lehman disappeared Monday afternoon after she apparently fell into the river.
The Associated Press reports that the river is swift and "coming up pretty high” because warm temperatures are melting the snowpack. The conditions are slowing the rescue effort.
