Husband And Wife Arrested In Drug Bust

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is hoping that a major drug bust Tuesday in the 19000 block of Callahan Dr. near Sonora will put a dent in the availability of methamphetamine locally.

Deputy Paul Tualla say $20,000 worth of methamphetamine and $1,000 worth of marijuana was pulled from the home of husband and wife, Lisa and David Barton.

“A lengthy investigation by the Tuolumne Narcotics Team into sales of illegal narcotics culminated in the service of a search warrant,” says Tualla. “TNT was assisted by both the Investigations Division and the Operations Division of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office in the service of the warrant.”

Bail has been set at $60,000. The investigation is ongoing.
