CHP Urges Motorists To Stay Home If Possible

Sonora, CA — With the heavy snow, the Highway Patrol is advising motorists across the Mother Lode to stay at home if at all possible.

“Our officers are backed up and all have three to four calls a piece,” says Officer Mike Buller of the Sonora area office. “We’re asking people to stay home if they can.”

Multiple accidents have been reported on Hwy 108, Hwy 49, Hwy 4, Hwy 26, Tuolumne Rd., and Greenley Rd.

Between Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties, the CHP is currently investigating 20 vehicle accidents or traffic hazards.
