Jamestown Family Resource Center And School District Receive $25,000

Jamestown, CA — The Jamestown School District and its Family Resource Center have received a $25,000 grant from the Sacramento based Sierra Health Foundation.

The Jamestown Family Resource Center runs a number of programs that assist students and families, and serves as a referral center to connect those in need to other service agencies. JFRC Director Mark Dyken says the funds will help families to prevent the shutting off of utilities, cover unmet emergency medical expenses and stock the JFRC food pantry.

42 grants were recently awarded by the Sierra Health Foundation in an effort to improve health and quality of life for Californians.
