“Most Wanted” Suspect Arrested

Sonora, CA — One of Tuolumne County´s “Most Wanted” is off the streets.

A Sonora Police Officer pulled over the driver of a pickup at 12:49am this morning on Stockton Rd. because of a mechanical violation.

One of the passengers identified himself as 37-year-old Christopher Bird of Groveland, who volunteered to the officer that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

In November, Bird was listed by the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office as a “Most Wanted” suspect because of outstanding felony charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of probation.

Bird has been taken into custody without incident and booked into Tuolumne County Jail.
