Weather Causing Traffic Hazards

Sonora, CA — Some traffic hazards are being reported across the Mother Lode due to the snow and rain.


There is a collision on Lyons Bald Mountain Road near Apple Hill Drive. The CHP reports that County Roads has been notified as approximately 30 vehicles are stuck.


A tree has fallen in the eastbound lane of Highway 108 just west of Plainview Road. Also a tree is down in the roadway on Mount Elizabeth Drive just east of Kewin Mill Road.


Updated at 11:05am: A tree is down across Tuolumne Road near the Woodham Carne intersection and is blocking traffic. Tuolumne Road is temporarily closed.


Updated at 11:45am: Vehicles with chains or 4 wheel drive are now being allowed to travel past the tree that is down on Tuolumne Road.
