Sonora, CA– This Monday the Sonora City Council will decide on whether to move forward with the proposed Sonora Walmart expansion or proceed with a special election.
Walmart is proposing to add a grocery section onto its current Sonora location. Last month the City Council requested a report on the initiative in hopes of hearing more details about the effects of a potential special election.
Also on the agenda will be consideration of imposing a temporary moratorium on the establishment or operation of medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. The Sonora City Council will meet this Monday at 5:00 pm at Sonora City Hall.
