T.U.D. Urges Conservation

Sonora, CA — T.U.D. is urging conservation for all water customers starting today.

PG&E’s main canal that provides the Tuolumne Utilities District its primary supply will be shut down for regular maintenance today through Monday, October 18th. T.U.D. reports that without water coming from the ditches, the only water available is what remains in the storage tank and wells. Conservation during this period will help provide adequate supply for drinking, sanitary usage and fire protection.

Customers Services Supervisor Lisa Westbrook says residents can help out by limiting outside watering, refraining from washing cars, turning off automatic sprinklers and repairing water leaks.
