September Ends With Sierra Showers

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are in store for the final hours of September in the higher Sierra Nevada.

Most of the Sierra from Yosemite National Park south will see some showers and thunderstorms with frequent lightening, gusty winds, small hail and brief heavy rainfall.

According to the National Weather Service, rainfall amounts will measure anywhere from a tenth to a quarter of an inch.
