Valley Springs, CA – A Calaveras County man sustained serious injuries when his motorcycle struck a deer last night.
The CHP reports that 51-year-old Brian Paul McKeehan of Valley Springs was riding along Highway 12 at 8pm when the deer jumped into his traffic lane. McKeehan was riding at around 50 mph and applied his brakes in an attempt to miss the deer. McKeehan was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital with major injuries.
