Supervisors To Discuss Mine Site

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will hear a report on the proposed Gold Rush Gardens project today.

A group is proposing to use the Jamestown Mine site to build a tourist destination similar to Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. Later, the Board will hear a request to reduce the assessed value of the Mountain Springs property from the current $5 million, down to $2.9 million. There is also time set aside to recognize outgoing Sonora City Administrator Greg Applegate for his years of public service.

Today’s meeting begins at 9am. It will be streamed live on MyMotherLode.com, sponsored by Blue Mountain Minerals. Click here to listen.
