“Stuff The Bus Event”

Jamestown, CA — The Jamestown Family Resource Center and community volunteers will be having their 4th Annual “Stuff the Bus Event” at the Sonora Walmart Saturday, August 7 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The goal of the project is to improve school readiness for economically disadvantaged youth in Tuolumne county. The community will be able to donate purchased goods and drop them off with volunteers that will distribute them to students in need before the start of the school year through local shelters, schools and by referral from the Jamestown Family Resource Center.  A Jamestown School District bus will  be parked in front of the Sonora Walmart store all day Saturday.

Last year over 300 students in Tuolumne county received backpacks full of school supplies and other needed items. To contribute, volunteer or for more information, call the Jamestown Family Resource Center at 984-4704.
