Mother Lode Recognized At Fair

Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties are being recognized for their displays at the California State Fair.

Both received prestigious gold ribbons at a ceremony Wednesday. Tuolumne County’s booth was also recognized for “best experience” because of its many interactive activities. It features a swinging bridge, gold panning and other outdoor recreational activities.

The focal point of Calaveras County’s exhibit is a lifted yellow Jeep Wrangler with animated frogs peering out of it.

The California State Fair runs through August 1st.
