T.U.D. Master Plan

Sonora, CA – The Tuolumne Utilities District will begin development of a Water Master Plan next month. The plan will look at ways to improve service and maximize dollars over the next 20 years.

“It is going to look at how to continue to serve our existing customers, and then serve future customers,” Tom Scesa, District Engineer. “From a new connection point of view, we’re growing at about nine-tenths of a percent, on average, for the last 10 years. But when you look at the number of smaller systems that have asked T.U.D. to consolidate, the growth rate is much higher.”

The Master Plan will look at ways to improve the storage and distribution system. It will also prioritize capital improvement projects.

Development of the plan is expected to begin next month with an estimated completion date of April 2012.
