What Is “A Midsummer Night Gathering”?

“A Midsummer Night Gathering” is a fundraiser for Adult Day Health Care and is presented by Sierra Lifenet.

Darrel Slocum, Committee Chair for Adult Day Health Care Fundraiser was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

For over 23 years this program has provided health services, activities and support for the community’s frail seniors and adults with chronic medical conditions that threaten their ability to live independently. The Center is transitioning from Tuolumne County ownership to Sierra LifeNet, a private non-profit organization, avoiding closure and allowing services to continue uninterrupted to the individuals and their families who depend on them.

Currently, over 50 individuals and their families are served each month by this program. This event will help provide funds crucial for initial cash flow following the transition, capital purchases and scholarships for participants who otherwise could not afford to attend.

You can reserve your tickets now for the Midsummer Night’s Gathering by calling 533-7180.

All attendees will enjoy a specially prepared dinner, wine, Shakespearian Experience (with actors) and a home tour of the Immanuel Lodge, the home of Roger and Judy Haughton in Confidence.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
