Two DUI Arrests During Checkpoint

Jamestown, CA — The CHP conducted a DUI checkpoint over the weekend along Highway 108 near Jamestown.

CHP Officer Mike Buller says 631 vehicles were screened and nine citations were issued. Six drivers were given field sobriety tests and two were arrested for driving under the influence.

The Sonora Area CHP Office plans to conduct several saturation patrols through the year along with the checkpoints in an effort to reduce injury accidents caused by intoxicated drivers.
