The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada from Tuesday 11pm through Thursday 4am.
Two to eight inches of snow accumulation is expected above 6000 feet. Half a foot to a foot of snow is likely above 8000 feet.
Winds will be consistent from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph over the crest.
Unsettled weather will likely continue into Friday.
