Winter Weather Returns Next Week

A series of winter storms will affect the Motherlode next week.

After a beautiful weekend, the first storm will impact the area beginning on Monday. This will be followed by a series of storms that will continue up until Easter weekend.

These storms could bring heavy rain, snow, gusty winds, cold temperatures and even some thunderstorms.

Snow levels could fall to as low as 2500 feet.

All told, residents should expect a half an inch to an inch of rain in the Motherlode, a foot or more of snow above 5000 feet and two to three feet of snow above 7000 feet. Easter Sunday itself could be quite cold.
