Rain, Snow Returns

Several storm systems will move through the Motherlode this week.

Rain will begin on Tuesday, then increase in intensity with a second, colder system on Wednesday. Half an inch to an inch of rain is expected in the Motherlode by Wednesday night.

Four to eight inches of snow is likely above 6000 feet on Tuesday.

By the end of Wednesday, several inches of snow accumulation is possible above 2500 feet. Seven to eighteen inches of total snowfall is likely above 5000 feet.

A third system will move into the region by Saturday.
