Forest Plan Up For Discussion

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will vote Tuesday whether to appeal decisions related to the Stanislaus National Forest’s Motorized Travel Management Plan.

The Board discussed the matter at length this past Tuesday, but put off a vote until County Counsel had time to look over a list of concerns.

They pertained primarily to accessibility to campsites, winter road closure dates and parking issues. The Supervisors will also discuss a proposed annexation of the Tuolumne Fire District. Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 9am in the Supervisors Chambers.
