Second Robbery Suspect Arrested

Soulsbyville, CA– A Sonora man suspected of robbing a cab driver earlier this week has been arrested.


The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old Andrew William Souza was taken into custody Thursday. Because the investigation is still ongoing, no further details are available.


The other suspect in the case, 20-year-old Marcus Salazar of Sonora was arrested Tuesday for an unrelated attempted robbery and was also charged with the robbery of the cab driver.


The incident occurred at around 3 am Monday in the Willow Springs subdivision.  Sheriff’s Spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Wilson says the victim was possibly robbed by knifepoint.
