Dozen Graduating From Fire Program

Columbia, CA — Graduates of the Columbia College Fire Technology Program will be remembering recent academy graduate Jordan Reyes.


The parents of Reyes, Faylan and Bruce Cannon, will give the keynote address at Monday’s graduation ceremony. Reyes, 23, was killed in a September 15th motorcycle accident on Highway 108 near Twain Harte Drive.


The open to the public graduation ceremony will be held at 7pm in the Dogwood Forum. This year’s graduates include:


Lindsay Barreras -Fremont
Brond Brockmire – Sonora
Shelby Burkin – Murphys
Steven Delgado – Oakhurst
Ernie Dixon – Columbia
Jeff Harvey – Sunnyvale
Kyle Hukkanen – Arnold
Kurt Johnson – Manteca
Steven Klith – West Point
Noah Munds – San Luis Obisbo
Kenneth Peasae – Redwood City
Jared Personius – Dana Point.


Graduates must still complete six months of full-time or one year of part-time experience before applying to the state for Firefighter I Certification.
