Capitol Christmas Tree Arrives In DC

Washington, DC — The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree has arrived safely in Washington, DC.

The tree made a 4,500 mile trek from the Stanislaus National Forest, and will be decorated with more than 3,000 handmade ornaments. The official tree lighting will be held next week. House Speaker John Boehner will be joined by Sonora second grader Johnny Crawford. The tree will remain on display through January 1st.
