Who Was Driving?

Two men were arrested in Calaveras County this morning after an SUV overturned on Highway 49.

The CHP says 27-year-old Bo Smith and 24-year-old Robert Juul, both from Manteca, were traveling in the 2003 Chevy Trailblazer near the Highway 12 intersection. At around 1:20am, the SUV hit a guardrail and overturned.

When CHP officers arrived, the two men were walking away from the accident scene. Smith and Juul both told officers that the other person was driving. The CHP decided to arrest both men for being intoxicated in public. Officers are still investigating who was the driver.
