Construction Well Underway

Columbia, CA — The walls are going up on the first Habitat For Humanity duplex on Parrotts Ferry Road.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Parrotts Ferry Village was held on August 6. The first duplex should be completed later this year, and a second by Spring of 2012. Over the next several years, over 30 homes will be built on the site.

The first Habitat partner families include: Richard and Regina Villegas and their children Alexia, 5, and Richard Jr., 3; Mark and Tina Walts and their children Matthew, 10, and Tianna, 3; Nick and Sandra Gee with their children Jonathan, 7, Noah, 4, and Joey, 2; and Mara Roberts-Armstrong and her children, Joanna, 16, Anthony, 11, Bella, 5, Conception, 12, and Alex, 6.
