Sonora, CA — The traffic lights went up Wednesday on Greenley Road in front of Sonora Elementary School.
Greenley Road is undergoing numerous updates thanks to federal “Safe Routes To School” grant funding. Because of the ongoing construction, Sonora Elementary has postponed the start of the school year to August 29th.
Greenley Road is also being widened to make it safer for students walking and biking to class.
