Back To School

Sonora, CA — Many students are heading back to school this week.

School begins Tuesday at Belleview Elementary School. Starting class on Wednesday will be Sonora Union High School, Columbia Elementary, Curtis Creek Elementary, Jamestown Elementary, Soulsbyville Elementary, Summerville Elementary, and all schools in the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District. On Thursday, Summerville Union High School will start classes.

Twain Harte-Long Barn will wait until Tuesday, August 24th. Sonora Elementary has delayed its opening to Monday, August 29th because of ongoing construction work on Greenley Road.

In Calaveras County, school starts Wednesday for the Bret Harte Union High School District and Vallecito Union School District. Classes started back on July 26th for the Calaveras Unified School District.
