Highway 49 Fire Update

Tuttletown, CA — Firefighters have now contained the 10 acre fire on Highway 49 near Rawhide Road.

Tuolumne County Fire reports that one home was destroyed, two barns, four outbuildings and one vehicle. Two people inside the home were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. One lane of Highway 49 is back open, so travel caution in the area. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
