Rain, Rain, On The Way?

A Flood Watch continues to remain in effect for the Sierra Nevada until late Monday Night.

Pay attention to local officials. Do not enter areas that are flooded or where streams are closed to either boating or rafting.

Rain is on the way to the Motherlode beginning on Tuesday with some showers lingering over the area into Wednesday. A chance of thunderstorms is also expected.

According to the National Weather Service, half an inch of rain is expected in the Sierra Nevada. Snow levels are expected to lower to 7500 through 8500 feet by Tuesday night. Light snow accumulation may occur.
