Long Barn Shooting

Long Barn, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in Long Barn over the weekend.

51-year-old Richard Roy allegedly shot his brother, 54-year-old Raymond Roy, inside a residence in the 26000 block of Janice Way. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, the shooter was found outside the home suffering from a gunshot wound, possibly self-inflicted. An investigation is ongoing.

Both suspects were taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Richard Roy has now passed away and Raymond Roy remains hospitalized.
