New Signage For Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA– The City of Angels Camp is having a public workshop next week to develop a Wayfinding Plan for the city.

“A wayfinding system is signage, whether it’s gateway signs or directional signs, alerting people to city destinations,” said Anne Forrest, Chairman of the Angels Camp Brand Leadership Team. “These are not the traditional Caltrans type signs. These signs would point the way to areas such as historic shopping districts, the farmers market, the fairgrounds and places like that.”

Forrest says the Wayfinding Plan is being funded by a Community Block Development Grant and is being lead by the City’s Community Planning Department in conjunction with the Brand Leadership Team.

Once the signage plan is approved, grant funding will be sought to construct and install the signs. Forrest says the workshop welcomes ideas and comments from residents and business owners on how best to convey Angels Camp visually in signage.

This will be the only public workshop before the plan is presented to the City Council for approval. The workshop is Tuesday, May 17th from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Angels Camp Fire House on Vallecito Road.
