Angels Camp Motorcycle Accident

Angels Camp, CA– A Union City man was injured in a motorcycle accident yesterday in Angels Camp.

The CHP reports that 42-year-old Russel Hughes was traveling on Highway 4 west of Pool Station Road with nine other motorcyclists returning from a police memorial in Sacramento.

Hughes, the last rider in the group, was reportedly distracted by the motorcyclist ahead of him who had run off the road and onto the dirt. As Hughes tried to slow down, he lost control of his motorcycle and rolled it over onto its left side.

Hughes was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital for minor injuries.
