Snowmobile Rescue

Pinecrest, CA — An unidentified man suffered major injuries in a snowmobile accident yesterday afternoon off Highway 108.


It was in the area known as Red Rock Meadow. CAL Fire, Tuolumne County Fire, the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies assisted with the rescue. Tuolumne County Firefighters out of the Pinecrest station rode snowmobiles into the area to locate the victim.


The Sheriff’s Office arranged a helicopter to fly him out of the area. He was later taken to Memorial Hospital in Modesto. His name has not yet been released. Few details have been released at this point, so we’ll pass along more information when it becomes available.
