Sonora, CA — Longtime Sonora Area Foundation Board member Bill Coffill is retiring from his service on the Board, so a new member has been appointed.

Foundation Executive Director Greg Applegate reports that Tracy Russell was the unanimous selection. Russell and her husband Hank have lived in Tuolumne County since 1998. She retired from Kaiser Permanente after 25 years as a manager of several departments within Information Services. Russell also serves on a number of community boards including the Civic Advisory Board at Sonora Regional Medical Center, the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Sierra Conservation Center and the City of Sonora Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee.

Jim Johnson, President of the Sonora Area Foundation praises Coffill’s leadership. “We will miss all of his thoughtful advice and input,” states Johnson.

Russell told the Foundation Board that she was delighted and honored to be selected.

The Sonora Area Foundation was established in 1990.
