Pair Face Drug Charges

Sonora, CA — A pair was pulled over in Sonora for a traffic stop and they now face a list of drug charges.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Richard Motsenbocker of Modesto early yesterday morning. Motsenbocker, who didn’t have identification on him, gave Corporal Kelly Dickson a false name. Corporal Dickson questioned him and eventually discovered Motsenbocker’s true identity, and learned that he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The Sheriff’s Office searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, pills, marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, hypodermic needles, marijuana scales, and packaging materials for narcotic sales.

31-year-old Melissa Rice was a passenger in the vehicle. She and Motsenbocker were arrested and booked into county jail.
