Firefighters Staying Busy

There have been three notable fires in the Mother Lode since last night.

A single wide mobile home was destroyed by fire at around 6:15m on Kelly Ranch Road in Sonora. The cause is unknown and no injuries were reported. The residents inside were assisted by the Red Cross.

At 9:30pm, a two story home started on fire on Buchanan Mine Road in Tuolumne County. It was caused by a generator that caught fire. $8,000 damage was reported, and there were no injuries.

Then a cabin exploded around 3am this morning in Dorrington. It was located on Highway 4 and thankfully no one was inside. Officials are investigating the cause. Early reports are that it could be a gas explosion.
