Sonora, CA– Tuolumne Utilities District is currently responding to a main line water break at the intersection of Restano Way and Washington Streets in downtown Sonora.
According to TUD Spokesperson Lisa Westbrook, the break happened around 10:30 am. Motorists are advised to avoid the area while crews make repairs.
Westbrook says businesses and residents in the areas of Restano Way, and South of Lytton Street on Washington Street will experience low water to no water while repairs are being made. Other areas affected include Nevada, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Hospital Road and sections of Washington Street.
“TUD crews are working as quickly as possible to restore water in the area but the water could be out in the area for up to four hours,” said Westbrook.
