Sonora Cat Rescue

Sonora Cat Rescue is a local cat rescue organization that fixed over a thousand cats in Tuolumne County, just last year.

Judith Rodan, Sonora Cat Rescue spokesperson, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

Rodan said, “I’m asking for help from the people of Tuolumne County. There are thousands of cats and kittens out there freezing and starving to death.

Abandoning a cat or her kittens is never the answer.”

Rodan urges residents to fix their cats.

“Simply by fixing cats, we can prevent over 10,000 homeless kittens from being born,” said Rodan. “For the holidays, we are setting up the ‘fix em now fund'”.

If you would like to help make this a compassionate Christmas for cats, call Sonora Cat Rescue at (209) 591-8086.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45am
