Disregard The Ballot

Sonora, CA — Some Tuolumne County voters are being asked to throw out their vote-by-mail ballot.

Elections Official Debi Russell-Bautista reports that there were typos on ballots that include the Summerville Elementary, Summerville High, Don Pedro Community Services District and Columbia Fire District races. If you reside in one of those districts, disregard the ballot, and a new one will be mailed out this week.

Russell reports that all of the candidates were included on the initial ballot, but the number of available seats listed was inaccurate. If you have already mailed your vote-by-mail ballot, Russell asks that you send in the new one as well. The earlier ballots will be ruled null and void. Russell says her office apologizes for the inconvenience. Anyone with questions can contact the Election’s Office at 209-533-5570.
