Election Day Nearing

Sonora, CA — There was a near capacity crowd for the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce’s “Candidates Night” forum Thursday night.

It was held in the Supervisors meeting room, heard live on 1450 KVML, and streamed on myMotherLode.com. The candidates for the two open Supervisor positions were on hand, (District One) Liz Bass and Sherri Brennan, and (District Five) Karl Rodefer and Domenic Torchia. All nine candidates for the three T.U.D. positions were in attendance, David Axelrod, Bob Behee, Dennis Dahlin, David Evans, Jim Grinnell, Kent Johnson, John Maciel, Ron Ringen and Michael Sarno.

The conversation got heated several times. The election is six weeks away. Early voting will begin in just over a week.
