Traveling Around Calaveras County

Several transportation projects are proposed to make it easier to travel around Calaveras County.

On this weekend’s Mother Lode Views we’ll hear from the new Calaveras Council of Governments Executive Director Melissa Eads, Calaveras Public Works Director Tom Garcia and Angels Camp Planning Director David Hanham.

The California Department of Finance is projecting that Calaveras County will grow to around 65,000 people by 2050, compared to the current population of 44,800. This could lead to congestion at several intersections. It is one of the issues looked at in the Calaveras Council of Governments recently released long-term transportation plan.
