Olsen’s Letter To Feinstein

Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen has a request for California Senator Diane Feinstein.

During a stop in Modesto yesterday afternoon, Feinstein received a letter from Olsen urging her to invite President Obama to the Central Valley. The President has made several campaign stops in California, but it has primarily been for fundraisers in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

“If he was truly committed to revitalizing the economy, you would think he would take the time to see ground zero of the recession,” writes Olsen, a Republican. “The Central Valley has the highest unemployment in the nation, a severe water shortage, the nation’s highest number of foreclosures, and entire cities declaring bankruptcy.”

Olsen’s Assembly District 25 includes both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties. She has been critical of many of President Obama’s policy decisions. Feinstein spoke yesterday to the Modesto Chamber of Commerce.
