Calaveras Injury Accident

Calaveras County woman was hurt in a crash on Lime Creek Road yesterday.

It happened near the intersection of South Petersburg Road. The CHP reports that 51-year-old Loretta J. Lower allowed her 2000 Chevy S10 to drift off the roadway, and she hit a support wire of a telephone pole. The truck became airborne and came to a rest on its roof. The fire department used the Jaws of Life to extricate Lower. She was flown to Doctors Medical Center to treat reported “moderate injuries.” The accident was reported at 9:52am. No one else was in the vehicle.
