Running Red Light Causes Sonora Crash

Sonora, CA — The CHP reports running a red light is to blame for a two car crash in Sonora. It happened at the intersection of Mono Way and Highway 108 around 2:30 this afternoon.

The CHP reports 63 year old Ronald Bronstein of Modesto was going through the intersection onto the westbound ramp of Highway 108 when he was broadsided by a Dodge Neon. They say the driver of the Neon, 33 year old Mary Davis of Jamestown, ran a red light causing the accident.

Traffic was backed up for nearly 45 minutes as the ramp was closed off to clear the wreckage.

The CHP says Bronstein and 10 year old Jarod Davis, a passenger in Davis’ car, suffered minor injuries.
